It's amazing how the budget here on Oppo is varied so much. Somehow these cars are both owned by Opponauts and obviously are two very very different cars. They're both very jalop and fantastic, though. Somehow we all get along perfectly. Oppo is amazing.

And what makes you think that they would become unloved just because we had enough money to make sweet love... oh. uh, modify them the way we dream of? Think of all the cool things that you could do with a Fiat 130? Or just think how awesome you could make a PT Cruiser if you had $60k to throw at it? Imagine a Volvo 240 Wagon with a full cage, 4 recaros, and a turbo / supercharged 700 horse v8? I think that the old beaters wouldn't go away, they would just get awesome.

I'm having some pretty crazy ideas right about now....has their ever been a Jalopnik/Oppo car festival? And I don't mean some cars in a parking lot for a couple hours...I'm talking multiple days and hundreds of cars, maybe a couple thousand people...the possibilities are endless. I just thought of this 3.5 seconds ago but I already need this to happen.

Yeah that's also true. Although, it would be worth saving up for if it could be organized. I mean it wouldn't be a drop in the bucket for me either but if it was done properly I feel like there could be some seriously fun times to be had. I'm gonna continue to think about this.
